Life is Good

E and daddy after her bath, she's so happy to be clean! Feb 1, 2015

Her new mattress. This is as good a picture as I could get of her reaction when she first saw it. Feb. 3, 2015

Eating an E sized ice cream cone(with a little ice cream in it, if getting a new mattress wasn't enough...)

Enjoying cuddle time with Daddy, watching her favorite show. Feb. 7, 2015

The mattress and the frame together at last! Still not sleeping on the bed consistently, but now she can get used to it being there. Honestly, I'm not ready for her to sleep in a toddler bed, she'd be up and getting out of her room at all hours. For now, we give her the option of which bed she wants to sleep in, and so far she still chooses the crib/Pack n Play.

Yes, that is green grass. Yes it is February. Yes, it is very weird to me that my child can go outside in basically a t-shirt right now. Feb. 12, 2015

How much broccoli can a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler eat in a week? I don't know, but we're about to see if we can cram 20 pounds of it in before it goes bad... it might end up going to friends and family to help spread it around. Happy Valentine's Day to me! I get a box of broccoli! Feb. 14, 2015

E enjoying a pickled beet at Costco. She was wary of it until I told her that "Nana Nette likes pickled beets." Pretty sure she ate more of the sample than either Dan or me combined. Love her cheesy smiles!

Day1

I'm not sure if I'll be posting daily, but I at least want to post once a week. At the beginning I'd like to post as much as possible to keep me excited about it. I find that when I'm excited about something, I do better with it, but if it becomes a chore... not so good.

Last time around, I attempted to do the challenge without having actually read the challenge. I meant to, but it never actually happened. I had a good idea of where to go because I'd read about half of Eat to Live, and could draw upon the nutrition classes I took in college, but I didn't have the specifics. I think that's part of why I didn't lose as much as expected. I did get rid of 20 pounds, but they weren't all within the 6 weeks like I wanted and expected, and my weight loss dramatically decreased when I started puttering away from the main concepts of Eat to Live.

This time, though I've still not finished the entire book, I skipped to the chapter that has the 6-week challenge so that I could familiarize myself with it and follow it. That helped a lot. I learned about the 90/10 rule, where when you're done with the 100% 6 weeks of plant food,  you eat 90% of your calories from plant based foods, especially greens, with a healthy amount of onions, beans, legumes, mushrooms, peppers and other colorful fruits and vegetables thrown in. 10% of the calories from non-vegetable based things. To clarify, here's the quote from Eat to Live,"The Life Plan diet should aim to be made up of at least 90% unrefined plant food. My most successful patients treat processed foods and animal foods as condiments, constituting no more than 10% of their total caloric intake."  I like that it's percentage of calories, because so many times, we talk in grams and that can get confusing, especially if you don't measure your food in grams. Calories, though, most people understand.

So far today, I've had 1.5-2 c frozen blueberries (defrosted) with a small amount of plain almond milk and a whole banana with about a tablespoon of raw, shelled,  sunflower seeds and about the same amount of ground flax seeds for breakfast. Normally I start getting hungry for lunch around 11 (which is what time it is currently as I write this) but I'm still feeling satisfied, though I can tell that lunch should come up soon.

Since the 6-week challenge states that you should not snack between meals, I'm going to make sure that I eat sufficiently during meals and only drink water between meals. Even though I'll likely have a slight headache at the beginning because of not being used to that, it'll be better for me because between meals, when my stomach is empty, is the time my body can finally start repairing itself from the toxins I've eaten and been exposed to my entire life.

I'm glad that yesterday was Fast Sunday for me as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because it meant that for spiritual reasons, I went without food for two consecutive meals, and was an excellent way to prepare my body for this eating change once again. I was able to refocus myself not only mentally and emotionally for this challenge, but also spiritually, because we are spiritual beings, and when our bodies are sick, chances are our spirits aren't as well as they could be.

6-Week Challenge take 2

I (kind of) did the Eat to Live 6- Week Challenge that started in April and went til June. I did lose about 20 pounds, but not all of them were within the 6 weeks. I hadn't actually read the bit about how to do the 6-Week challenge, so it was somewhat of a flop. This time I intend to  take the challenge and go with it. I start tomorrow. Right now I've got beans soaking, getting them ready for making into tastiness, and my fridge is still full of half wilted vegetables from all the stuff I buy and don't get to in time because of the last challenge and not doing as well with it as I'd like. This time, I intend to make the food and eat it better than last time. We'll see how it goes. I still intend to get rid of about 20 pounds or more, but this time I'm going to go for losing more weight until I get to where my body is happy and healthy. Currently, I'm pretty sure I'm 80-100 pounds away from that, but I'll let my body determine what a healthy weight is, and I'll give it what it needs so it can be happy.

Here's to health!

Evalynn part 1

This was taken just a few days before Evalynn was born. This will be basically just a list of videos and pictures that were taken around the time Evalynn was born, which is very nearly a year ago now.

My mom and dad got us a camera/video, so this was taken the morning after Evalynn was born.

Now pictures and videos of Evalynn!

Day Four- Laid Back...

Last night the power went out at our apartment complex because of a converter blowing (Or something technical like that, my husband could explain it much better). So we spent the evening in the dark, with the occasional candle and cell phone for light. Instead of stewing in the darkness, we got some raspberry plants from my friend's inlaws, then went to bed.

So far today, it's been fairly laid back. That same friend that I usually exercise with got attacked by a vicious migrane, so instead of going out to exercise, I did the dishes. For over an hour. Yeah... I'd been neglecting the poor things. Nearly every dish was dirty. There are still a few more that need washing, but I ran out of room and didn't feel like drying them.

Thankfully, my friend gave me homework in cases such as these- practice all of the18 things she's taught me in karate so far, and do 50 leg-lifts and 50 crunches. I got all but the leg-lifts done currently, and plan to do those before the day is over. Probably when I get tired of writing the essay I'm procrastinating...
I've also taken this lovely procrastination time to read a few articles about health and weight loss. Two of which are written by one of my friends:
The first is about Detox:
http://health.abc4.com/provider_article.php?ar=1318&pr=4548&geo=ut

The second is about healthy eating tips:
http://health.abc4.com/provider_article.php?ar=358&pr=4548&geo=ut

Enjoy!

And for future reference:
I think after this first week, I'll be making a blog post once a week to give updates to my friends and family. I may post more often but I don't plan on it being a report on this goal every single time.

Harry Potter Work Out

I'm as big of a nerd as many, so I decided to re-discover this work out to make me feel less guilty if I ever decide to do a marathon of these movies. I'm sure there are many people who claim to  have created it in the first place, so I have no clue who to give the  credit to. I can say, though, that I am the one who modified this version. I have bad knees, so I need something different than  squats, lunges and jumping jacks to do, since those are all hard on the poor limbs.

Day Three- Assessment

Today I had two things set up, at 8, I did a full body assessment on campus, then at 9 I met with a personal trainer, also on campus, with my friend.
During the assessment, I found out how many sit ups I can do in a minute (66) how many push ups I can do properly in a row (8) how much I can bench press (85 lbs) and what percentage my body fat is (not putting that up, but I have 158 pounds of lean body mass if that tells you anything)

A lot of the information she gave me after  the assessment I already knew, calories in, VS calories out, etc. But now that I know what my body mass is, I can more easily get to a healthy size that's specific to me. My goal of 199 is good. 175 is better. But because I'm a girl, it's better that I have about 15-20% body fat, so trying to get to 160 pounds is not likely to be healthy. Unless things change and my muscle mass goes way down. Or my bone mass. Neither would be good.

Directly after, I went to the gym and met with a trainer. We started with a warm up on a treadmill, walked for a while, stretched, then proceeded to commence the work of pain upon my arms, core and legs. An hour later, I stumbled out of the gym and walked a part of the way with my friend, then trekked up the massive hill towards my apartment. Don't get me wrong, I've walked that hill many a time, but never after nearly 2 hours of physical exertion.

Now I'm home and have to remind myself to not binge, even though I've worked hard.

Day Two

So far so good. Yesterday, I kept within my calorie limit (Though I wouldn't have if I hadn't exercised. But I ate less than I have been recently, so I see that as an improvement) The one I have set for myself on Loseit is 1,763 (I have no clue why I made it that number, I set that up months ago... perhaps I should make it a different one, but... oh well.) For exercise yesterday, I walked downhill for a mile, did karate with my friend for a half hour, then hiked back up the hill for another mile, this time practicing the things she taught me as I went. Lots of fun! So that made up for the 2,284 calories I did eat.

However, according to this useful little thing: http://providentliving.org/content/display/0,11666,8922-1-5129-1,00.html I'm expending approximately 3,162 calories per day(based on my height, weight and that I put 30-60 minutes of daily exercise) and so my budget should be around 2,250 or 2,200. With that in mind, I did pretty well.

Yesterday I had 2/3 cup of granola and felt full after getting only a portion of the way through it. So today I'm trying 1/3 cup, which is the serving size on the bag. I finished it not long ago and I'm feeling quite satisfied. We'll see how long it lasts. Yesterday's portion lasted until lunchtime, but I may need a snack today, like an apple. It also helps that yesterday I ate a hard boiled egg with my portion, so I may do that again today.

I impressed myself in the morning and through to the early evening with my willpower, but then I went shopping. It seemed like every pastry, cookie, and even doughnut(which I'm not really fond of) looked amazing and wanted to hop into my cart. I'm happy to say the only food item, besides milk, that actually got in, was some trail mix. However, that trail mix has a bunch of white chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate and peanut butter chips that can be hazardous. So... I may be taking it back. Don't need more temptation in the house.

After I went shopping, the "munchies" attacked. They'd threatened all day, and I kept them away with more or less healthy snacks I had 2 small (about 2" by 1") home made rolls, and a slice of banana bread, that I nibbled on while I did laundry. When I got back from shopping, I polished off the tuna with veggies and crackers that I started before the event, and still wanted something to munch on. I would have just kept with water, but my willpower had been used up for the day, so I popped myself some popcorn. Oil popped popcorn is better for you than microwave because you can determine how much fattening substance goes onto the popcorn. Air pop is even better, but it's harder to get salt or anything like it, to stick. I did oil pop, and put just enough flavoring/salt to let me know it's there. Thankfully, popcorn is surprisingly low on calories for how much you can eat. 6 cups of oil popped popcorn is 330 calories. Yes, that's like a small meal. However, generally you only want to eat 2-4 cups. 2 cups is 110 calories(About the amount of calories in a medium sized apple), and 4 is 220. Not to mention  it's a whole grain snack, so I didn't feel really guilty. Except that it was getting pretty late at night...

I'm not sure if I'll post in this blog every day while I do this. I'll do my best to post weekly, if nothing else. Though the more people comment, the more I'll post.

Day One of New(More Like Refurbished) Goal

Many people would kill to get back to the size they were when they graduated from high school. I would kill to stay away from that size and weight. When I graduated in 2005, I was 5'8(and a half)" and 275 pounds. My driver license, which I got the same year I graduated, confirms the fact. I started college, and slowly, without really noticing it, I dropped down to 260, then to 250. I wasn't doing much different. I ate less because I had to at least partially fend for myself, instead of my parents buying all the food. I also had class AND work, rather than  just school. I also had somewhat of a social life, and so was out and about doing things. I didn't need food to fill up my times when I was bored.

To put it simply, I was living a healthier lifestyle.

Now for those who are privy to nutrition and weight-loss, and especially the BMI(Body Mass Index), you would notice that my starting weight was rather... big. BMI for my height and weight during my senior year of high school was 41. That means nothing if you don't know much about BMI, so I will explain it a bit more, 18.5-24.9 is within the normal weight range for an adult. 25-29.9 is overweight. 30-34.9 is obese class one, and from 35-39.9 is obese class two. 40 and up is morbidly obese. Yeah. Not fun.

I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2009-2010, and continued to lose weight because I had a greater incentive. Bad knees. After just a few months of being a missionary, walking around, going up and down stairs,  I felt a crackle in my knees, especially when I went up stairs. Between the doctor and the physical therapist, I figured out what I needed to do. Get to a healthy weight. I fluctuated, but mostly my weight went downward whenever I stepped on the scale.

When I returned and started college again, I took a nutrition class, and learned a great deal and did wonderfully at keeping my weight down. I got as low as 216, but was more consistently at 220. Not bad, going from 275 to 220.

I hated my major. I didn't know what to switch to, so I stewed over it. I made food for my friends and roommates, they did the same for me. Social gatherings where food was involved, and my own downfall of being a social eater, made it so I slowly gained more weight back. 230 then 240, then 245.

I met Daniel, and we started dating. Summer came and went. Fall came and went. Daniel proposed to me and we planned for a wedding in April. The wedding came and went, and during the winter semester and  after getting married, more weight started creeping up on me, 250, 255. Then the other day I saw 260 and nearly completely freaked out. I promised myself I would NEVER get back up to 275, and yet I was right on my way to getting there.

Here I am, two months after my wedding, going steadily towards three. I started reading more articles about exercise, and remembering the things the doctor on my mission told me to do in order to lose weight. I read a few blogs about people who lost weight to encourage myself, and today I started my new goal.

Now for my goal: I want to lose 5-10 pounds per month for at least 12 months
I want to get initially to 199 and maintain that, then keep going down until I get to 160(about 24.3 on the BMI scale), and maintain that. If I don't get down to 160, I want to at least have less than 35'' as my waist circumference. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/public/heart/obesity/lose_wt/risk.htm#limitations

I am currently at 257 pounds (Weighed just this morning) and can comfortably wear a size 24 jean.(which is about a 45" waistline)

The way I am going to meet my goal is to religiously  enter in what I eat onto Loseit.com (Kind of like WeightWatchers, except for free.) and exercise 5 days a week for at least a half hour, alternating between strengthening exercises (As I've recently turned 25 and I'll lose muscle if I don't keep it up) cardio (Like walking and swimming) and things for fun.
I also plan to avoid sugar as much as possible when it is in unnatural states(I put sugary snacks in a cupboard I can only reach with a chair to help me. May put the cooking sugar there too). I also plan to cut back on my salt intake by not adding salt to food, or adding very little, and avoiding using it when I cook. I also plan to use the smallest utensil and plate/bowl available for my meals. (for example, I'm currently eating a cup of spaghetti on one of the dessert plates we have, using  what my husband likes to call a "threek" which is a three pronged fork)

Support and encouragement is always welcome!

Huzzah for Life...

So much has happened in the last few months. I had insane roommates (I say that in the most endearing way.) We did a lot of crazy things. Like turn each other goth.

And turn random boys goth...

Who ended up being my boyfriend...

To working at This is the Place. My boyfriend was able to come down and help me on one of the more busy days.

And Random friends that are like siblings...

Parties and Job Searching

So last night I was able to hang out with my wonderful Temple Square sisters who are in my area, it was awesome! We chatted about the 'old times' and quizzed our former AP(Assistant to the President) about what went on behind the scenes. We laughed and joked and watched a chick flick- Confessions of a Shopaholic .
We continued to laugh and joke- just enjoying each other's company until the music came on, then we all danced. I'm sure every one who knows me can imagine me dancing. I'm about twice the size of most of the girls there, so it was interesting at times, but fun. It was good to be with people who understand what it's like to be an RM since I am the only one in my apartment.
While the music was going, we looked out the window of the apartment where we were, and noticed there were blue and red flashing lights. We weren't sure what they were for, so one sister went out to discover the reason. Someone had just gotten pulled over, nothing major. That's the extent of things that happen in this town. I haven't heard of anything worse than someone getting pulled over here. Who knows- maybe I will. Considering it's a small town, in addition to being populated by LDS young adults during most of the year because of the University, I don't imagine that tons would happen.
Earlier that day, I did some major job searching. I did it online since the weather was to be desired, but I did it. I will continue to search until I either find a job, or I find one that I like. I imagine I won't have a job that I like until next semester when I'm able to get an on-campus job. Currently all of those are either filled or for some reason aren't hiring. I'm sure it will work out some way.
Directly after job hunting (That ended about 5 pm because I was hungry, tired and had a headache) I just vegged for a few hours, resting my brain, even if I wasn't resting anything else.
Today is a new day, and I'll likely go and be productive again, searching for jobs and getting homework done... and likely being distracted by friends again.

The Adventures of College Life

So in this new phase of my life I am going back to school. It's fun, and entertaining. My classes range from Creative Writing and Publishing to the History and Philosophy of Education, with Old Testament, Essential Human Nutrition and Foundations Capstone(Critical Thinking and Decision Making) in between.

I have three awesome roommates who are all from the western part of the United States.
We're all a bit insane, so it makes life wonderful! For instance, my roommate Lexi and I got an advertisement for shirt company that was having a liquidation sale. She looked at the paper and laughed, "Liquidation sale! Bring your own blender and you get it half off!!" And couldn't stop laughing.

Then another time, my friend Samantha was over, and she, Lexi and I were having a 'Homework Party'. My homework was mostly on the computer, and Sam's was mainly book and paper work. I was getting annoyed at the computer being a computer and slow- mainly the internet. As Samantha was figuring out things she said to herself, "And then I need to..."
"THINK FASTER!" I exclaimed at the computer.
Lexi started laughing. I looked at her puzzled and asked what Sam had said, they explained, and I laughed my head off, and every few minutes when it got too quiet in our homework party, someone would mention the incident and we'd all start laughing again.

Last Saturday I had my first date since my mission. It was with a guy named Chad that one of my friends is trying to hook me up with. The first thing we did was go on an adventure. That's Durtschism for we got lost. He had only been to where I am once or twice, and I'd not been here a month. Once we started seeing more cows and fields than street lights and buildings, we decided to turn around and try to find an alternative to the place we were planning on going. We decided on a place where we could do either Bowling, Miniature Golfing, etc. So we did a round of Mini Golf, followed by a play off of Air Hockey(You could say that's when he took me dancing. I didn't stand a chance. I wouldn't have gotten a point if he hadn't left himself wide open. To my defense, I blocked successfully most of the time.) Then a random game from the section of arcade games in the same area. We got prizes, I decided on a pencil and he got candy.

I'm currently doing a frantic job search. I really want a campus job, but not many people are hiring right now, and the jobs that are available I'm not qualified to do. This morning I sent in an email to the head of the Tutoring department to put a bug in his ear, letting him know that I've tutored before and would be a wonderful person to hire. We'll see if that does anything.
As I continued my job search, I decided to walk to the various places that possibly would be hiring still. Or at least, tried to. I started walking, hiking up the hill, down a street that didn't look very promising. Lots of houses, and not so many businesses. Actually, there was not a single business on that road. Confused I turned around and walked back down hill and turned left. After walking about half a block, I found a recognizable landmark and was surprised that I was in the place I ended up. I thought I was going one direction, south or something, then I realized I was going East. How does that work? Any way, now that I've been lost once, it shouldn't happen again... I hope.

Now Lexi and I are sitting on our usual place on our couch and doing random things on Facebook, and other places, and randomly she said, "We're not stalking... we're doing Genealogy!"

New New New!

That's the way it feels. Everything is new, and everything is different. I just returned from my full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Temple Square in SLC, UT. (Details about that at- sisterdurtschi.blogspot.com ) And now I'm attending one of the BYUs and enjoying life! Well, I've been enjoying life all along, but now I'm continuing things I had put on hold for a bit, like college.

Now I'm an Elementary Education Major at BYU-Idaho. I'm enjoying myself completely. Especially having fun with my roommates and being creative. I am having fun using my creativity in what I draw, cook, and write. I just need to work on when and how I do that.

I'll also try to post more often...

Mission

I've been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints to the Salt Lake City Temple Square mission, in Utah.  That being the case, I started a new blog sisterdurtschi.blogspot.com for my mission purposes.  I'll be keeping this one and updating it when I get back, but since this time next week I'll be in the Mission Training Center and won't have access to distracting things like the internet and phones.

Hopefully I'll update better when I get back!

So long my "normal blog" see you in a year and a half plus a week.

Rain Rain Rain

From the moment I landed in the Sunshine State, I was so disoriented! One would expect to see some sun, yes? But no, for the first week I was there, I barely caught a glimpse of the illusive Day star, instead I saw lots of thick, bubbly clouds. In addition to clouds, when we went to visit my sister's inlaw's , we ran into torrents of rain

As you can see, my sister's inlaws had a lovely lake growing in their back yard. ^

And it was aided in it's growth by even more rain...

Travel

West coast girl, going to midwest, then back to the West coast, before hopping over to the east. I've been, and am going to be, all over the next while.

First off I went to one of my friend's wedding in California (sorry, no pictures) and stayed long enough for another friend's birthday.

My friend who I stayed with while I was back in CA on her birthday!

On the plane from California to Florida, I got out my camera and became picture happy... much to the chagrin of my dad and the other people on the plane (though I did have the flash off for most of the pictures.)

<-- My dad and me, and some random guy that looked over just as I was taking the picture... And below, a lake of some kind, somewhere between California and Florida.

And now lots of Clouds!

Hmm... Where does the sky end and land begin with this one?

Moved!

Well kinda. I'm now in Utah (after surviving on about 10 hours of sleep all together in about 48--or more-- hours, packing in between the times I had sleep, and driving the rest of the time.) But my boxes are still all full, and only about half of them are actually inside the house.

I'm very thankful for friends. If I didn't have the help of my friend David and his fiancee, I honestly don't think we would have gotten out of the apartment when we did. That's not to say that they were the only ones helping, that's just saying that they were the ones that helped the most and were the most dedicated in helping. David was there (and for some of the time his Fiancee) both days we were doing the big moving things. The first day, he was there by noon helping me clean and continue to put things INTO the boxes to be moved before the actual moving things into the respective moving spots. His Fiancee (And her sister) came later and helped organize boxes so they were less crazy. The next day, when things weren't completely done, they came again and continued to help, and help and help. Both days David worked about 9 hours basically straight (which meant I worked about 12 hours straight... maybe a break or two for lunch or something like that) and the only complaint I heard from him was, "I'm gonna miss you."

Did I mention that he kept me the sanest? Or should I say kept me insane? Every time it looked like I was about to crack, I'd either get a hug (well for those of you who know me well, you know I don't usually give light hugs, so I got the near bone-crushing hugs in return from him, which are really the good stress relievers for me) or he'd crack a joke or something to keep me from strangling either boxes(or the things in the boxes that wouldn't fit properly) or people.

And I would write more, but my brain is still dead, and there are still boxes to save from the heat outside... did I mention it's hot out? It's very not cool. But I will survive! I'll just be slightly melted.

Alergic to Sleep Deprevation?

Well, that's what I call it. It seems that whenever I get less sleep than my body wants (not so much now-days, but if it's consistent enough...), inevitably I get sick. Or at least a sore throat, which is what is plaguing me right now. It's small and going away, but still. Rather annoying if I do say so. Thankfully it never lasts long.

Catching Up... Which is nothing like Ketchup.

Life's been kind of interesting, and I've been updating other places much more frequently than my blog, but... I've realized that I really like reading how my siblings and other people, and if I like reading about their life, why not write about mine, eh?
Frankly, I'm going to blame it on not having good, consistent internet, but then again, I make time to email my friends and so on, so why not make time to write a little bit about myself? Heh, for peats sake, I could even just post some of the letters(in part) that I write to my old roommate who is currently on her mission right now, and that'd basically sum up what I'm thinking and feeling at the time, they're certainly long enough (last one was about 4 pages, the one before that 7... typed)
At the very least I could copy and paste most of what I post on my Deviant Art Journal ( silriel.deviantart.com ) but... yeah, I'm lazy... well in some respects.

I've graduated from my community college that I've been attending the past 3 years, got my AA, and I'm done with school for now... I thought I'd have more time when I was done with school. I was wrong. We found out the day before my last final that my oldest sister has breast cancer, so since I am the most mobile of my family members, now that I'm done with school for now and won't have a job by the end of this month, I will be going to help my sister with her three children, all of which are three years old and younger.
So I am currently packing. And packing. And.. packing... and trying to find time to say goodbye to friends (usually having them come over to help with the packing...) And working one day a week. etc.
Oh, and trying to exercise more which is very difficult when you have little to no excuse to get out of the house other than work and going to the library to use the internet and get books on CD and Tape so I stay sane while packing, and Church.

And I think that's going to be it for now. If I try and force myself to write more, this will never get posted...

Childish Internet

My internet is like a child. When it doesn't get what it wants, it throws a temper tantrum and throws me off line saying, "I don't want to play with you any more! I'm taking my toys and going home!" It's just that sometimes I can convince it to come back and play with me again...
Another way in which my internet is like a child, is the fact it sometimes doesn't want to connect me when I'm in the room. It will wait until I have gone to get something before it will sneak me back on. Sometimes, after it lets me back on, it likes to play hide and seek with the friends I am chatting with... usually making it so either I can't see what they're saying, or they can't see what I'm saying... tis rather humorous after words, but during is so annoying.
A third reason why my internet is like a child; sometimes when I choose a connection, it doesn't connect to that one, but when I choose a different one, all of the sudden the connection I chose before connects, as if it was jealous of the second connection.

Huzzah for libraries and other places where I can get free internet...
